Working Remotely: Cape Town

“Every couple of years I have an itch to jump out there in an unconventional way. To free myself from routine and wake myself up from the everyday hustle I find myself in.”

Jessica Watson, CEO, has felt for a few months now that it was time to shake things up a bit. For those of you who are new to Points North Studio, let us assure you that this is actually normal. Our ability to always come to the table with fresh ideas, designs and insights, is because we are absolutely willing to dive into stuff of life. This includes having a team that largely works remotely, implementing company-wide skip days, and on occasion, letting Jess up root and find her way.

This time, Jess will be working remotely through Africa and Europe, with a short term goal of skipping winter, and a long term goal of cultivating new experiences that help her grow both personally and professionally.

Her first stop is Cape Town, South Africa. She arrived in time to celebrate the new year with fireworks over the waterfront, silhouettes of jagged mountains just along the horizon line.

What does this mean for you, our clients:

Nothing will change work wise, except that booking meetings with Jess will need to be scheduled between 8AM – 12NOON EST. There is quite the time difference between us. Jess will be using our blog space to share her adventures. You can also follow her on Instagram. Here’s to a great start for 2019.
