Ways to Honor Amazing Women All Year Round

Women’s History Month has come to a close, but that doesn’t mean you stop taking time to learn about, support, and encourage the amazing women in your life. Here are 4 ways that you can support women all year round.

The Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls Podcast
These stories are for more than your daughters. It’s a good way to start the day or enjoy your lunch break. Each podcast is a story, and each podcast highlights the life of an amazing woman in history. The stories are engaging; they really draw you in. And, they leave you with a little bit of share-worthy knowledge you did not have before.

Use Your Social Media Platform
Leave a review on the social page (or Yelp, Google, etc) for a women owned business that you’ve had a great experience with. But also give a shout out to an amazing woman (or woman owned business/organization). Sometimes we need more eyes on the women in our world who are putting in the work. Sometimes we think

Let Her Know She’s Amazing
Okay because you’re probably thinking it anyway, “Wow, how does she do it?” and you’re seeing her work hard and admiring her fire and passion and vision for success. Jump right into the cheer squad and let her know you see her. As a busy woman I can tell you that sometimes I get so caught up in my work that I forget to look at the view. I can also be very hard on myself for very little things and I miss the bigger picture. The reminder is always helpful. No matter how you do it, it is much appreciated.

Support Women Owned Businesses
And tell your friends too. I ate an amazing woman-owned restaurant in Baltimore a couple days ago. It’s Ida B’s Table. I sat at the bar and couldn’t help admiring how happy the bartenders were, how gorgeous all the patrons looked, and what an inviting, fun atmosphere it had. I’ve already told a handful of friends that they need to put the spot on their list. I love that this restaurant is in Baltimore, and I want it to thrive.
